About the Role

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Clinical Lead Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and guidance to our multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend and contribute to senior management team meetings to discuss patient care and service development.
  • Assess referrals and determine suitability for admission, ensuring that patients receive the most appropriate care.
  • Undertake investigations, diagnosis, and treatment, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinical audit, and quality improvement work to ensure that our services are of the highest quality.
  • Chair and oversee Care Programme Approach (CPA) reviews, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care and support.
  • Lead the implementation of risk assessment and risk management strategies to ensure patient safety.
  • Participate in clinical governance and ensure the implementation of policies and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Work and liaise with external agencies to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
  • Write and supervise various reports, including Mental Health Act tribunals and manager's reports, and attend hearings as required.

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
  • Specialty Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with forensic experience.
  • Ability to lead and work within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good CPD standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and recent appraisal.
  • AC and Section approval.
