Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

Expleo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex mechanical systems, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, including 3D scheming, 3D design definition, and 2D drawing.
  • Check 3D models and 2D outputs produced by junior engineers to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Supply specialist knowledge and technical guidance to the team on jig design and development.
  • Provide solutions to technical engineering problems and deliver instructions and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Ensure that all designs meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to understand technical issues and specifications.
  • Attend and contribute to design reviews to ensure that all designs meet the required standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or an associated discipline.
  • Proven experience in jig and tool design, checking, and marine defence.
  • Experience with 3D CAD systems such as FORAN, Solidworks, Catia, or NX.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and make sound technical judgments.
