Senior Designer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Designer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a Senior Designer, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical systems for one of the world's leading Defence companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply your knowledge of design processes, tools, systems, and techniques to design or detail for assemblies, components, or systems.
  • Design and develop solutions to common or well-articulated design situations, problems, and issues.
  • Work under limited technical supervision, taking ownership of projects and delivering engineering projects or services using established technologies and methods.
  • Lead and develop other professional staff, with responsibility for project and financial planning and management.
  • Communicate technical matters effectively, demonstrating a commitment to professional engineering values.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role, with the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects. You will be based in Barrow, with the possibility of working on site for 2 days every 2 weeks. The remainder of the work will be done remotely.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of design processes, tools, systems, and techniques.
  • Ability to apply your knowledge to design or detail for assemblies, components, or systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional engineering values.
