Job Opportunity

Cavendish Maine is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Underwriter to join their Commercial Underwriting team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in underwriting larger and more complex property and liability risks, working closely with the Head of Underwriting and Key Account Managers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing underwriting strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities for product development and improvement.
  • Supporting the Head of Underwriting with governance, insurer relations, and training.

Requirements:

  • Extensive commercial property or liability underwriting experience.
  • Previous experience working with MGAs or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
