We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead our construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects within tight timelines, evaluating risks, and developing effective plans of action.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of contract requirements and key aspects of the project Conditions of Contract.
- Collaborate with the Project Quantity Surveyor (PQS) to create a realistic Procurement Schedule.
- Lead the subcontractor procurement process, ensuring timely appointment and effective management.
- Conduct regular commercial reviews to ensure alignment with budgetary objectives.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the CVR process and apply it effectively.
- Participate in subcontractor Pre-Start meetings and play an active role in promoting commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with the pre-construction team to develop tender project programme, construction methodology, and logistical plans.
- Maintain site management and operative training records, identifying any training needs.
- Oversee all administrative aspects of the project, ensuring effective implementation.
- Nurture positive working relationships with clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver completed projects on time.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Salary Estimate: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
