Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence and dignity. About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing short-term support to individuals in their own homes, as part of a rapid response service. Your crucial role will include preventing, reducing, and delaying the necessity for long-term care. You will work closely with our team to provide high-quality care and support, promoting independence and dignity for our service users.

What We Offer

As a Support Worker at Wiltshire Council, you will receive a competitive salary, plus 10% unsocial hours for qualifying shifts. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a welcome payment of £1300 (subject to tax and NI) for your integral role in reducing flow pressure on hospitals. You will receive £650 upon starting and a further £650 upon successful completion of your probation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a genuine passion for helping others and be available to work on a rota basis between 7am and 10pm, 365 days a year. You will also need to have a Care Certificate or equivalent skills and experience, with a willingness to undertake the required training. A general level of education to GCSE A*-C or equivalent skills and experience is also essential.
