About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical/Contracts Manager to join our team. This individual will be a self-starter with strong management skills, able to anticipate issues and develop effective contingency measures. We value integrity and excellence, and we are committed to earning the trust of our clients and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of selected projects, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling from conception to completion.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure projects meet client specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Utilize Leo Lynch systems to track and monitor project progress, ensuring all project team members are compliant with these systems.
- Ensure all project team disciplines are working effectively and resolve issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
- Manage the financial aspects of each project, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
- Implement cost and value procedures and produce accurate and timely commercial reports for Senior Management.
- Work closely with Directors and Site Managers to support and recommend strategies, identify potential risks or issues, and find resolutions.
- Issue weekly progress reports to the client and engineering manager.
- Issue monthly progress reports for Senior Management/Directors.
- Collaborate with Senior Management/Directors to achieve business needs.
- Foster productive, collaborative partnerships with internal and external clients.
- A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project/Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry, with a background as a project engineer for 5+ years.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Process systems, including their design, installation, and operation.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Must be able to travel within Europe on occasion.
- A full driving license.
