About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Mechanical/Contracts Manager who is a self-starter, well-organized, and possesses strong management skills. This individual will anticipate issues and develop contingency measures, ensuring the delivery of projects with integrity and excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling all aspects of selected projects, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure projects meet client specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Employ Leo Lynch systems to track and monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with these systems.
- Ensure all disciplines of the project team are working effectively and resolve issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
- Manage the financial aspects of each project, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
- Implement cost and value procedures, producing accurate and timely commercial reports for Senior Management.
- Work closely with Directors and Site Managers to support and recommend strategies, identify potential risks or issues, and find resolutions.
- Issue weekly progress reports to the client and engineering manager.
- Issue monthly progress reports for Senior Management/Directors.
- Collaborate with Senior Management/Directors to achieve business needs.
- A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project/Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry, with a background as a project engineer for 5+ years.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Process systems, including their design, installation, and operation.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Must be able to travel within Europe on occasion.
- A full driving license.
