About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Family Support Practitioner to join our Infant Team in Blackpool Council. In this role, you will work closely with families, providing emotional support and guidance to help them navigate challenging situations.

As a key member of our team, you will conduct home visits, assess family needs, and develop tailored support plans to promote positive outcomes for children and their families. You will also work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to family support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one support to families, helping them to access local services and resources.
  2. Conduct home visits, assessing family needs and developing support plans to promote positive outcomes.

  4. Maintain accurate records of family interactions and progress towards agreed goals.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Social Worker status with current Social Work England registration.
  2. Proven experience in family support, particularly within child protection or early intervention.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and professionals.
  4. A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and ability to maintain confidentiality.
