Patient Transport and Care Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at EMED Group. As a Patient Transport and Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing safe and efficient transportation services to our patients, while also delivering high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities
  • Assist patients with lifting, securing, and transferring them in and out of the ambulance
  • Build rapport with patients and their relatives/friends through effective communication
  • Ensure the ambulance is kept safe, clean, and tidy
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a high-quality service

Requirements:

  • Committed to patient care and well-being
  • Effective communicator with experience in emotional situations
  • Calm, considerate, and careful driver with a full UK driving licence
  • Physically fit for patient handling and moving
  • Pass an Enhanced DBS check
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
