About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team in Hereford. As a key member of our Safe Care Division, you will play a vital role in supporting the police and other professionals in transporting service users to and from healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support service users with challenging behavior and/or mental health illnesses
  • Assist with lifting, securing, and helping service users in and out of the ambulance
  • Work alongside the police and other professionals to transport vulnerable service users between various locations
  • Liaise with hospital staff and the police on the safe conveyance of service users
  • Ensure the ambulance is kept safe, clean, and tidy
Requirements
  • Full manual UK driving licence
  • Committed to patient care and the ability to build a rapport with patients
  • Effective communicator and experience of communicating with others in emotional and difficult circumstances
  • Calm, considerate, and careful driver with no more than six penalty points on your license
  • Natural flair for team working and collaboration
  • Physically fit for patient handling, moving, and occasionally, patient restraint when required
