Fraud Strategy Manager

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Fraud Strategy Manager to join their team. As a key member of the risk management department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring Fraud and AML strategies to support the business in managing risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain comprehensive Fraud and AML strategies across the credit lifecycle, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
  2. Lead the implementation of approved changes to fraud decisioning systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
  3. Design and deliver new MI reports to meet business needs, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  4. Analyze MI to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities, communicating findings to senior management to inform business decisions.
  5. Provide line management, support, and development for fraud analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  6. Collaborate with the Operational Fraud team to identify emerging fraud trends and opportunities for improvement, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  7. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience, increase efficiency, and improve business performance.
  8. Maintain awareness of relevant legal and regulatory requirements relating to Fraud & AML, ensuring compliance and adherence to Company Policies and FCA Conduct Rules.
  9. Liaise with third-party suppliers of Fraud/AML systems and data services, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
About You:
  1. 5+ years' experience in fraud analytics, with a minimum of 3 years in a Consumer Credit Fraud function.
  2. Advanced skills in data manipulation and analytical techniques, with proficiency in SAS/SQL and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  3. Practical experience of fraud prevention systems and strategies, with a good working knowledge of applicable Fraud/AML regulation.
  4. Ability to derive and communicate insight from data/Management Information, with a strong track record of influencing business decisions.
  5. Competent in providing effective line management and coaching for credit risk analysts, with a focus on development and growth.
  6. Ability to present complex analysis and concepts to non-specialists, with a strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Required to work out of hours on occasion to support project delivery or in emergencies, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  8. Experience of coaching and developing analysts, with a passion for mentoring and leadership.
  9. Project management experience, with a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
