Fraud Strategy Manager Opportunity

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Fraud Strategy Manager to join their team. As a key member of the fraud prevention team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring fraud and AML strategies to support the business in managing risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Maintain Fraud and AML Strategies: Develop and implement effective fraud and AML strategies across the credit lifecycle, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  2. Lead Implementation of Approved Changes: Oversee the implementation of approved changes to fraud decisioning systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
  3. Develop and Interpret MI Reports: Plan and lead the development of new MI reports to meet business needs, interpreting data to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
  4. Communicate Insights to Senior Management: Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to senior management, influencing business decisions and driving strategic growth.
  5. Line Management and Development: Provide line management, support, and development for fraud analysts, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  6. Collaboration with Operational Fraud Team: Work closely with the Operational Fraud team to identify emerging fraud trends and opportunities for improvement, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Compliance and Regulatory Awareness: Maintain awareness of relevant legal and regulatory requirements relating to fraud and AML, ensuring all activity is compliant and up-to-date.
  8. Liaison with Third-Party Suppliers: Liaise with third-party suppliers of fraud/AML systems and data services, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
About You:
  1. Experience in Fraud Analytics: 5+ years' experience in fraud analytics, with a minimum of 3 years in a Consumer Credit Fraud function.
  2. Data Manipulation and Analytical Techniques: Advanced skills in data manipulation and analytical techniques, with practical experience of fraud prevention systems and strategies.
  3. Regulatory Knowledge: Good working knowledge of applicable fraud/AML regulation, with intermediate SAS/SQL capability.
  4. Communication and Leadership Skills: Ability to derive and communicate insight from data/management information, provide effective line management and coaching for credit risk analysts, and present complex analysis and concepts to non-specialists.
  5. Project Management Experience: Experience of coaching and developing analysts, with project management experience and the ability to work out of hours on occasion to support project delivery or in emergencies.
