We are seeking a skilled Weighbridge Operative to join our team at Sorn Quarry, East Ayrshire. As a key member of our GB Materials team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our weighbridge. Your responsibilities will include controlling the entry to site of all customers, lorries, and visitors, weighing in and out of materials, and recording necessary information for invoicing. You will also be responsible for directing goods inwards to the correct stockpile/location, recording time of despatch and return of trucks bringing raw materials to site, and ensuring the general working of the weighbridge area, including the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and workstations. Following training, you will undertake site inspections, reporting defects and issues to the site manager. To succeed in this role, you will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, confidence to control the entry to site of customers, lorries, and visitors, and the ability to operate the weighbridge computer package. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
