About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Sportstechgroup-JobBoard. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries by performing diagnostic general radiological procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform radiographic procedures by acquiring and processing patient exams in accordance with accrediting bodies and/or manufacturer guidelines and as outlined in department protocols. Review cases with the radiologist when appropriate, and review labs and patient history to perform correct exams.
  • Order Review and Verification: Responsible to review radiology orders for completeness and accuracy, and review patient history and supporting clinical data for medical necessity.
  • Image Quality and Data Management: Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment, and review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
  • Patient Safety and Support: Ensure patient, visitor, and environmental safety, and report safety events immediately, including those that are a near miss.
  • Team Collaboration and Development: Assist in the instruction of students and new staff as necessary, and may perform duties of Rad Tech Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or related field preferred.
  • Current licensure as a radiologic technologist in the state of practice.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
