About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned leader to head our Product Engineering team, driving the development of best-in-class products that solve real problems for our users. As Head of Product Engineering, you'll be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team that collaborates to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 30 engineers, including 5-8 direct reports, to achieve operational and strategic goals.
  • Bring technical expertise to guide the team, improve decision-making, and drive better technology and user outcomes.
  • Inspire your team with a product-oriented approach to engineering leadership.
  • Identify and integrate industry best practices, processes, and ways of working into the Product and Technology organizations.
  • Design and evolve a department that's balanced and able to plan for and respond to business needs.
  • Optimize and review team performance, ensuring teams and individuals deliver value with quality.
  • Develop strong working partnerships with organizational peers to foster collaboration and constructive debate.
Requirements
  • A proven leader with experience working with B2B and B2C products, making critical decisions with broad, positive impacts.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, with a focus on people management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Ability to build technical credibility with the team through recent hands-on experiences and learnings.
  • Experience with test automation, continuous integration/deployment, infrastructure as code, and observability.
  • Recent experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, and at least one large-scale Cloud Services provider (AWS preferred).
  • Ability to contribute to solution design and communicate complicated decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in creating, setting, and communicating strategy, with excellent communication skills.
