Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Proposal Engineer to join our team in Great Yarmouth. As a Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing technical proposals for various projects, working closely with the engineering team to ensure client requirements are met.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will have previous experience in compiling cost estimates for mechanical packages and excellent communication skills. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a good understanding of project management principles. Experience with design software such as Solid Works/CAD would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:
* Develop technical proposals for conceptual, budget, and firm opportunities
* Provide engineering support and technical solutions
* Review and interpret project specifications, standards, regulations, and requirements
* Obtain quotations from suppliers and develop good working relationships with their technical and commercial teams
* Assist in the coordination of various aspects of engineering, including design, planning/development, and preparation of cost estimates

Requirements:
* HND or equivalent in Engineering
* Excellent communication skills, including written and spoken English
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Ability to work well within a team, under pressure, and with a sense of urgency
* Previous experience of compiling cost estimates for mechanical packages (essential)
* Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 dependant on experience.
