About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Development Specialist to join our expanding project engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all enquiries relating to equipment mostly used in process and pipeline operations, including development of scope, quotations, and technical communication with customers.

The role involves providing engineering support and technical solutions, reviewing and interpreting project specifications, standards, regulations, and requirements, obtaining quotations from suppliers, and developing good working relationships with suppliers' technical and commercial teams.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for obtaining technical input from internal discipline engineers to ensure bids meet clients' specifications and standards. The role requires interfacing and developing relationships with clients and their contractors during the bid development stages.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have previous experience of compiling cost estimates for mechanical packages. You will also need excellent communication skills, including a good standard of both written and spoken English.

A proficient level of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) is essential, as is your ability to work well within a team, under pressure and with a sense of urgency.

Desirable skills include experience with the design of oil and gas industrial field equipment, solid works/CAD design, and knowledge of equipment manufacture compliance and legislation, DNV offshore certification requirements, ATEX/Hazardous Area equipment compliance.

Qualifications

You will ideally hold an HND or equivalent in Engineering, however, equivalent experience in a similar field/proven track record will be considered. Formal project management qualification would also be advantageous but not essential.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £45,000-£55,000 dependant on experience, plus company pension and onsite car parking.
