Job Description:

As our Environmental Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to reduce our environmental footprint. You will work closely with our team to identify areas for improvement and implement sustainable practices throughout our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, and action plans to reduce our carbon footprint and promote sustainability.
  2. Lead the development of sustainable procurement practices for all goods and services.
  3. Coordinate pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy initiatives.
  4. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
  5. Represent DO&CO in environmental issues and liaise with local authorities, public bodies, and other stakeholders.
  6. Audit and analyze environmental performance to identify areas for improvement.
  7. Direct and supervise impact assessments to identify and mitigate environmental risks and costs.
  8. Promote awareness of emerging environmental issues and best practices in corporate social responsibility.
  9. Implement environmental management systems to improve our impact on the environment.

Requirements:

  1. Demonstrable experience in sustainability and environmental management.
  2. Good understanding of major sustainability disclosure frameworks.
  3. ISO 14001 certification.
  4. Experience in supporting projects to improve environmental and social supply chain impacts.
  5. Self-motivation, resilience, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Meticulous attention to detail and precise record-keeping skills.
  7. Ability to influence different departments to implement efficient processes.
  8. Clear and engaging communication skills, with strong written and verbal English.
  9. Experience working with diverse functions and people to deliver projects on time with high quality.
