We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join our client, a well-established Education Trust, in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accountancy processes on behalf of a large academy.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce monthly management accounts, including purchase and sales ledger reconciliations
- Process cashbook payments and receipts, and raise sales invoices
- Implement new financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency
- Perform quality checks on all financial transactions
- Ensure financial compliance and audit requirements are met
- Develop financial forecasts alongside the Central Services Team
- Previous Financial Management experience, Education or Accountancy preferred
- Experience of producing monthly management accounts
- Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of best practice
- Must be AAT qualified or hold a similar qualification
- IT literate with demonstrable ability to use accounts and budgeting databases
