Job Overview

This role is a vital component of the finance team, responsible for ensuring timely payment from clients. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director to support the company's cash flow and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Raising, posting and managing external revenue invoicing, maintaining accurate records to facilitate efficient credit control processes.
  2. Posting and maintaining information related to the accounts receivable ledger, accurately tracking client payments and balances.
  3. Credit control and Dunning, proactively addressing any discrepancies or late payments to minimize financial risks.
  4. Bank reconciliations, including transactions and postings, ensuring all financial dealings are accurately recorded and up-to-date.
  5. Liaising with Account Managers regarding Purchase Order numbers, facilitating smooth communication between teams.
  6. Assisting with Sales Accruals and information for monthly management accounts, providing valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
  7. Administration of the Company's Invoice Discounting Facility, optimizing financial efficiency and reducing costs.
  8. Assisting with the Company Payroll, contributing to the overall financial management of the organization.
  9. Involvement in special projects, applying skills and expertise to drive business growth and improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • AAT Qualified or studying towards (training to full qualification possible), demonstrating commitment to professional development.
  • Good understanding of the tasks required in the role, showcasing practical knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in financial transactions and record-keeping.
  • Good communication skills, effectively collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
