Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Rainham Steel Co Ltd in Essex. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and repairs of mechanical systems to identify and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with production schedules.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
