Nhsscotland is committed to delivering high-quality universal child health programs, promoting the wellbeing of school-aged children and young people (5 - 19 years) within schools and community settings.
This role involves collaborating with the School Nurse, working closely with education colleagues as Named Persons, and contributing to the development of the Child's Plan through health assessments using the national practice model. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing them to build effective relationships with families, carers, and other stakeholders.
The estimated salary for this position is £38,425 - £48,757 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and opportunities for professional development.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent observational and assessment skills, enabling you to identify and respond to the needs of children and young people. You should also have a good understanding of child development and be able to contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the delivery of universal child health services.
