About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team at Gatwick Airport. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the development and management of cost plans to ensure the financial efficiency and feasibility of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost plans and cost estimates for larger projects (typically greater than £100 million)
  • Work on complex projects from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are completed within budget and provide optimal value
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Support the development of appropriate procurement strategies and run procurement exercises
  • Administer contracts for design and construction contracts as they are awarded, including change management
  • Accurately report on spend, anticipated final cost, and forecasting future months' expenditures through to completion

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cost engineering, contract management, or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors working on projects typically over £5 million
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field
  • Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools (e.g. Cemar)
  • Thorough understanding of NEC suite of contracts, and associated contract administration and negotiations
