Ecologist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our expanding planning and rural teams at Morepeople 01780. Based primarily in our Horley office, you will work alongside our established Surveyors, Planners, and Architectural professionals to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions.

1. Conduct ecological surveys and prepare reports to support planning applications, focusing on enhancing opportunities to deliver various levels of biodiversity net gain.
2. Advise project teams on ecological legislation and develop mitigation and enhancement measures.
3. Manage subcontractors and represent clients as a professional witness when required.

You will hold a degree in Ecology or a related field and be a qualified member of CIEEM (MCIEEM). With at least 3 years of experience in ecological practice, you will have significant experience in conducting ecological surveys, preparing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, protected species surveys, and Ecological Impact Assessments.

A full driving license and access to a car are also required. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is crucial, as is an awareness of health and safety practices.
