Officer - Residential Team

Sharper Consulting Services is seeking a skilled Officer to join their Residential team on a temporary basis for approximately 3 months.

Duties:
  • Investigate and respond to complaints related to statutory nuisance and housing standards.
  • Conduct HMO licensing, HHSRS inspections, and enforcement duties to improve the private rented sector.
  • Enforce the Council's responsibilities under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

This is a front-line role requiring district presence, but with remote working options available 2-3 days per week.

Requirements:
  • HHSRS certificate or degree in Environmental Health.
  • Experience working in a local authority setting, undertaking enforcement action.
  • Experience in Environmental Protection and Private Sector Housing.

As a key member of the Residential team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of environmental health and housing compliance in the private rented sector.
