About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Poulton-le-Fylde. This role involves working with children who experience Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, providing vital support in small group settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with small groups of pupils, tailoring support to their specific needs.
  • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support both academic progress and personal development.
What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role within a SEN or SEMH setting.
  • A compassionate and understanding nature to support children with diverse needs.
  • The ability to handle challenging situations with confidence and professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Salary Information

This role offers a competitive salary of £13.08-£14.58 per hour, dependent on experience, which is inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
