Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Skypoint School. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with complex social and emotional needs and autism.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a small specialist provision catering for pupils with complex social and emotional needs and autism. You will be responsible for providing individualized support to our students, helping them to achieve their full potential and develop their skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with complex social and emotional needs and autism
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the needs of each student
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to identify and address the needs of our students
  • Support students in developing their social and emotional skills, including communication, problem-solving, and self-regulation
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in lessons
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with complex social and emotional needs and autism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
