Job Title: Design & Construction Manager, EMEA, GREF

As a key member of Amazon's Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering consistent strategies for managing design and construction project staff. This position requires standardizing planning, design, and construction practices for all corporate leased and owned projects across EMEA.

The successful candidate will partner with the EMEA Design Manager to ensure timely design work that meets Amazon's high standards for customer satisfaction while adhering to budget and schedule constraints. Your leadership and management skills will be essential in providing oversight of project managers and managing contractor performance on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Represent GREF to internal and external customers for the delivery of office space.
  2. Manage teams of project managers, architects, design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure decisions are made at the appropriate level and Amazon's priorities are always the driving factor.
  3. Develop project strategies and ensure appropriate resources are allocated to complete the project in accordance with the aligned strategy.
  4. Evaluate project progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  5. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Ensure compliance with Amazon's policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  7. Assist in the evaluation of prospective office lease space and provide recommendations to senior management.
  8. Work closely with Amazon Procurement to establish priorities and create/implement strategies for generating savings on corporate office construction related items.
  9. Lead by example and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  2. Demonstrated expertise in project management, construction, and design principles.
  3. Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  4. Experience working in a global environment or multiple countries within EMEA is highly preferred.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
