About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Commis Sommelier to join our team at The Dorchester. As a key member of our beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the mise-en-place and maintenance of the beverage station, including receiving and organizing deliveries, glassware setup, and the speedy delivery of beverages during service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by fulfilling special requests involving wine and drink preferences, dietary requirements, and special occasions.
  • Work closely with the beverage team to ensure seamless service and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of fine wines and beverages, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
