We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Engineering Technician Apprentice. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, fabrication, CNC machining, and other fields.

As an Engineering Technician, you will work closely with experienced engineers to design, manufacture, install, operate, and maintain systems on ships, submarines, and infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to various projects, developing your problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

The estimated salary for this position is £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include a fully funded qualification, personal development training, minimum 28 days holiday allowance, employee share scheme, and flexible benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop specialist engineering trade skills and gain hands-on experience maintaining the Royal Navy's fleet.
  • Contribute to the design, manufacture, installation, operation, or maintenance of systems on ships, submarines, and infrastructure.
  • Work closely with Senior Support Engineers and Production Managers to identify work requirements and plan tasks.

We require National Level 5 qualifications in Maths and English, and a Science or technical subject. Many of our early careers roles are subject to Security Clearance and Trade Control restrictions. Upon successfully completing the programme, you will become a qualified Engineering Technician, specialising in your chosen field.
