Imerys Multi-Skilled Engineer Role

We're seeking a highly skilled industrial engineer to join our team at Imerys' Herreschoff Kiln site in Devon. As a multi-skilled engineer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our production processes.

About the Job

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, looking to take their career to the next level. You'll work closely with our maintenance team to ensure maximum plant and equipment availability, performing routine preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance tasks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including fault finding, diagnostic, and installation work
  • Calibrate and diagnose instrumentation systems
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure all work areas are safe and clean
  • Order site spares and manage inventory
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces

Once fully competent, you'll join our rota system to provide out-of-hours support, ensuring seamless operations 24/7.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience working in a production or heavy industrial environment. An apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is essential, along with a strong HSE ethos and proficiency in IT.
