We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Howells Recruitment. As a leading recruitment agency, we work with a variety of clients across the construction industry, and we are looking for a skilled professional to help us deliver high-quality services.

About the Role:

  • Commercial Experience: We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial background, preferably with experience in refurbishment works and planned maintenance programmes.
  • Cost Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling all expenditure, reconciling cost/value reports and profit forecasts, and ensuring value for money and financial assessments.
  • Subcontractor Management: The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for on-boarding subcontractors and suppliers, managing day-to-day cost control and monitoring, and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Client Relationships: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing professional relationships with clients and customers.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree or other technical qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor, preferably in a commercial role.
  • Skills: Strong commercial awareness, contractual awareness, negotiating, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of supply chain management and RICS/CIOB qualification (preferred).
