Job Title: Production Design Engineer

Are you a skilled engineer looking for a challenging role that combines design and production expertise? We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Design Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited.

About the Role:

  • Develop detailed drawings and 3D models from concept to production, ensuring all designs meet VCA standards.
  • Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work closely with production staff to ensure they fully understand drawings and build instructions.
  • Solve problems that arise to ensure issues are resolved back to their root cause.
  • Coordinate fabrication kits from third-party suppliers, source specialized parts, and identify cost-effective solutions.
  • Spearhead improvement projects within the build process to enhance production efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Third-level qualification in an engineering-related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using SolidWorks or similar software.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent IT skills and analytical and problem-solving abilities.
