About the Role:
  • Support the Senior Construction Assurance Manager in undertaking Constructability Assurance, taking a risk-based approach.
  • Provide specialist advice and expertise to HS2 Project Managers at all stages of the construction process.
  • Coordinate and undertake safety tours and other site-based HS2 safety practices.
  • Support the NEC3 Supervisor in discharging their duties under the Contract.
  • Support the NEC3 Project Manager in discharging their duties under the Contract.
  • Assure that the works are adhering to U&A's, Environmental Minimum Requirements, and Code of Construction Practice requirements.
  • Manage HS2 cross-contract interfaces with respect to constructability.
  • Assist the Senior Construction Assurance Manager and HS2 Project Managers with the HS2 CDM Assurance Process.
About You:
  • Open to candidates from site (trades) or engineering background with experience in major civil engineering projects and exposure to NEC3/4 contracts.
  • Good supervisory management experience and a good handle on CDM regs, Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, Risk Management, Planning & Constructability.
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to talk with the public and external stakeholders.
  • Good problem solver and confident self-starters, able to manage themselves and their workload.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of NEC3 Contract and Supervisor responsibilities along with general management principles and operation of matrix organisations.
  • Knowledge of UK construction regulations including Construction Design Management (CDM) and Construction Safety Management requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience of site-based processes and procedures for health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Understanding of risk identification and management.
  • Understanding of construction planning and ability to follow and monitor progress against a project programme.

  • Salary £58,149 - £61,149 + Pen (6:12) + health + 25 days Hol (potentially up to £64,197).
  • 36.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work from home one day a week.
