About the Role: We are recruiting a Junior Buyer to work for a company in Blackwood on a temp to perm basis. The successful candidate will play an integral part of the team supporting key functions within the department, including procurement, vendor management, MRP scheduling, quality assurance, new product development, and driving improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Junior Buyer will be responsible for creating value for the business through effective negotiation of price, contract, and service level agreements.
  • Using strong commercial and analytical skills, the role will drive cost-down benefits to the business.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to the buying role, with strong team values and excellent internal and external customer relationship and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.
