About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive team at a large and inclusive Secondary Academy in High Wycombe.
This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on building positive relationships with pupils and supporting them in overcoming barriers to education, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or at risk of exclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within the inclusion department, supporting students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide classroom support, liaise with external agencies, and collaborate closely with parents.
- Be a stable and positive role model to help improve behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified or experience working with pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.
- Full-time availability (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm) with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
- A positive approach to supporting students with SEMH challenges and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Two references from recent employers and a DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
