Healthcare Information Manager

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coder to join our team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating medical information into clinical codes, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate data collection, and contributing to our mission to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Main Responsibilities- Translate medical diagnoses and procedures from clinical documentation into ICD-10 and OPCS-4 codes.
- Enter these codes into our electronic patient records system, adhering to local and national standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive data collection and accurate reporting.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Hold a National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) or have at least 5 years of experience in clinical coding.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications and their application in clinical coding.
- Proficient in using electronic patient records systems and coding software.
The salary for this position is £31,624 per annum, plus a range of benefits including a generous pension scheme, health insurance, and paid time off.
