Overview

Futures, a leading design and manufacturing company based near Wakefield, is seeking an experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to join its R&D team. This challenging role involves developing embedded software using complex applications in a hands-on design position.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a degree qualification in Electronics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Computer Science, with at least five years' experience of coding for complex applications in industries such as engineering, technology, and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in C and have extensive knowledge of microcontrollers and microprocessors. Experience with RTOS software is beneficial for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality embedded software for complex applications
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electronics, and electrical engineers
  • Take ownership of projects and lead them to successful completion

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Electronics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
  • At least 5 years' experience in programming languages like C and C++
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers and microprocessors
  • Experience with RTOS software

Salary Range

We are offering a highly competitive salary range of £65,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
