Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurate administration and control of all Meetings, Events, Weddings & Group bookings
  • Taking enquiries for Meetings, Events, Weddings & Groups and converting them into sales
  • Actively seeking opportunities to interact with existing, potential, and new clients through show rounds and participation in familiarization trips
  • Ensuring that all Meetings, Events, Weddings & Groups files are kept up-to-date
  • Maintaining good diary management to maximize sales opportunities
  • Ensuring that all final details, payments, and requests are coordinated and finalized prior to events taking place
  • Adhering to all company credit policies to ensure that all revenue expected is received
  • Maximizing room hire potential throughout the year through a targeted seasonal approach
  • Identifying new business leads that can be passed on to the Director of Sales
  • Ensuring a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and competitor set activities
  • Communicating with the Events Manager any information that may impact profitability
  • Following up with guests to determine satisfaction and establish strategies to improve the quality of the guest experience

Requirements:

We're looking for a warm and genuine individual who enjoys putting people first. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player who is willing to be hands-on but also able to work independently to get things done. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service and quality-focused with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Experience in the sales and management of events
  • A willingness to grow and develop within the company
