Software Engineer - Salesforce

At Barclays, we're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Salesforce team. As a key member of our digital landscape, you'll drive innovation and excellence in software development, leveraging various engineering methodologies to deliver business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and improve software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations.
  • Implement secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Develop effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
Requirements
  • Hands-on Salesforce experience
  • UI/UX design experience
  • Experience with test-driven development
Desirable Skills
  • Salesforce Certifications
  • Test automation experience
  • Ability to translate simple to complex user requirements into functional and actionable software within the Salesforce environment
