Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School

The role involves supporting pupils in EYFS, KS1, and KS2 classes, working closely with Class Teachers to develop strategies that cater to individual needs and learning styles. The successful candidate will be a resilient practitioner with excellent relationship-building skills.

The school offers a supportive and inspiring environment for both students and staff. This role provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive, and consistent manner
  • Building positive relationships with Class Teachers to support pupils and discuss/implement strategies and learning activities
  • Preparing resources for lessons
  • Supervising pupils at break times and lunch times as required
  • Having a 'hands-on' approach to supporting pupils in their learning, with a willingness to interact, engage, and form a positive rapport with pupils
Requirements:
  • An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service)
  • A recognised Childcare-based qualification (although not essential)
  • An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff
  • A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
  • Experience in classrooms supporting students (although not essential)
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils
  • A genuine passion for helping young people to fulfil their potential and flourish in education
  • An enthusiastic approach and a willingness to engage with and form positive relationships with pupils
