About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director of Finance to join our Senior Leadership Team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Financial Management function, ensuring effective budgetary control and financial planning to meet internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement innovative financial solutions to drive efficiency and improve financial performance.
  • Provide high-quality financial information and analysis to support decision-making at board level.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and other stakeholders to ensure effective financial planning and management.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including the Trust's Board and external partners.
Requirements
  • Significant post-qualification financial management experience, preferably in a large organisation with complex management structures.
  • Proven track record of delivering and implementing innovative financial solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage organisational change.
  • Highly developed computer literacy skills, with the ability to create and present complex financial information.
  • Professionally qualified (CCAB, CIMA, etc) and evidence of continuing professional development.
