Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

As an Operations Supervisor with CH&CO, you will be responsible for coordinating the entire operation of the catering unit during scheduled shifts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating catering unit operations during scheduled shifts
  • Meeting and greeting customers and being a presence in the unit
  • Ensuring client expectations of food and food service are consistently delivered in line with the CH&CO brand
  • Briefing all staff regarding food and service standards
  • Continually monitoring the service and food provided in the restaurant
  • Checking stock levels and ordering supplies
  • Assisting in any area of the catering unit when circumstances dictate

Relationship Management and Customer Service

You will act as the first point of reference for all customer comments and concerns, taking necessary action and responding to customer complaints and providing service recovery and follow-through.

Additionally, you will actively gain customer feedback to improve the food and service offering.

Finance

You will work with the Catering Manager to ensure the catering unit achieves financial targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and interpreting financial control systems
  • Preparing reports at the end of each week outlining staff control, food control, and sales

Managing/Developing a Team

You will be responsible for organizing and supervising the shifts of Front of House team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all staff carry out tasks in accordance with company health, hygiene, quality, and safety standards
  • Providing induction, initial skills, and on-the-job training for all Front of House staff
  • Managing and reporting staff absence, timekeeping, and sickness

Sales

You will work with the Catering Manager to maximize sales at the unit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Catering Manager to maximize sales at the unit
  • Representing the relevant site at meetings within CH&CO

Health & Safety

You will be responsible for ensuring that all employees adhere to uniform standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Keeping up to date with COSHH and HACCP procedures and methods
  • Reporting equipment and/or building fabric faults and any hygiene, health, and safety hazards

Occasional Responsibilities

You will be responsible for taking responsibility for personal development and looking for opportunities to expand knowledge of industry trends in food and food service, leadership, and management practices.
