About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marubeni Komatsu Ltd. As a key member of our on-site presence, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing Komatsu plant machinery while ensuring safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to perform pre-planned preventative maintenance, including completing accurate and timely maintenance, and documenting all work.
- Carry out Walk Around Inspections to ensure the unit is operating to expected performance levels and identify any parts required for additional work.
- Keep customers and supervisors informed of estimated time of arrival and register arrival on site, undertaking any necessary site inductions.
- Complete dynamic site-specific risk assessments and method statements prior to commencing work.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Requirements
- Experience working with heavy plant and machinery.
- Experience working on customer sites.
- H&S training in PPE awareness and hand tools.
- Full driving licence.
- Use of field-based maintenance tools and equipment.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and work under pressure.
- NVQ level 2 in plant maintenance or equivalent.
