We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Gardener at our beautiful organic and wildlife-friendly garden and estate in North Oxfordshire.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of our vegetable, soft fruit, and ornamental borders, as well as working with the team on projects across the wider estate.

The estate comprises:

  • Ornamental flower borders
  • Small vegetable and soft fruit garden
  • Mature orchard
  • 18-acre wildflower meadow (20 years in development)
  • Lake
  • 20 acres of fallow pasture
  • Small apiary

We work using organic principles and prioritize the impact on wildlife while working. Our goal is to balance design, aesthetics, and nature.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in organic vegetable growing and ornamental border management
  • Good knowledge of machinery and tool maintenance
  • Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all seasons
  • An interest in ecology, wildlife, and nature

Upon completion of a three-month probationary period, we offer a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary and accommodation available if required.

Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
