Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with learners in our Structural Technologies department at Slough & Langley College.
Your role will involve providing support to learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to enable them to access the curriculum and participate fully in college life.
Working under the direction of the Curriculum Leader for Structural Technologies, the responsibility of this role will be to assist with teaching, learning, providing educational and mentoring support for students with SEN, and promoting positive relationships and acceptable behaviour.
The ideal candidate should have a can-do attitude, be able to build rapport with students and staff, have flexibility in working with different students, and be willing to take on new challenges.
The successful candidate should have good organizational, administrative, and planning skills, a commitment to the academic and personal development of students with additional needs, good communication skills, and the ability to use initiative and think ahead.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be part of a team that places the learner at the heart of all we do. You will work in a state-of-the-art learning environment, delivering education and training to a diverse group of students and businesses each year.
