We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Environment Manager to join our team at BAM Nuttall. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are delivered in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement environmental management systems (EMS) that meet ISO 14001 requirements
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and legislation
- Lead on environmental aspects of project delivery, including chairing project environmental meetings
- Provide guidance and advice on environmental controls and laws to the project team
- Investigate environmental incidents and lead on incident reporting and lessons learnt
- Manage environmental staff and ensure the delivery of environmental consenting requirements
- Monitor and maintain project environmental KPIs
- Verify conformance of project systems and management plans with environmental standards and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in developing and delivering EMS that meet ISO 14001 requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of environmental regulation and legislation
- Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring environment staff and other key roles within the business
- Degree-level qualification in Environmental Management or equivalent technical qualification and extensive experience working in an environmental role
- Chartered Environmentalist (Full IEMA) status or equivalent
