Job Title: Consultant - Adult Psychiatry - Community

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Gloucestershire. As a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric input to children and young people referred to CAMHS registered with GPs in Gloucestershire.

About the Role

The post holder will work in treatment clinics with multi-disciplinary colleagues to deliver either general CAMHS intervention or more specialist team work such as neurodevelopmental work. You will also deliver medication clinics and participate in regular multi-disciplinary groups to discuss ongoing work, work planning, and case discussion.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric input to children and young people referred to CAMHS
  • Work in treatment clinics with multi-disciplinary colleagues
  • Deliver medication clinics
  • Participate in regular multi-disciplinary groups
  • Support the development of areas of clinical and professional development
Person Specification
  • Medical Degree and Full GMC Registration
  • GMC Specialist Register in Child Psychiatry or Learning Disability
  • MRCPsych and experience in research, training, or public understanding of psychiatry
  • Excellent teaching and leadership skills
