About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in Gloucestershire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide psychiatric input to children and young people referred to CAMHS, working in treatment clinics with colleagues to deliver general CAMHS interventions or specialist team work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric input to children and young people referred to CAMHS
  • Work in treatment clinics with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver general CAMHS interventions or specialist team work
  • Deliver medication clinics and participate in regular multidisciplinary groups for work planning and case discussion
  • Supervise junior staff and contribute to the development of clinical and professional development in CAMHS
Person Specification
  • Medical Degree and Full GMC Registration
  • GMC Specialist Register in Child Psychiatry or Learning Disability
  • Experience in research, training, or public understanding of psychiatry
  • Prior teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Strategic thinker with leadership skills and ability to motivate others
